Min/Max Review
  • Regular review of customer Min/Max stock levels to ensure optimal inventory levels on customer shelves
  • Based on ongoing review of sales history, Applied makes recommendations to adjust Min/Max levels to optimize inventory performance
  • Following a Min/Max review, Applied personnel work with our customers to identify surplus inventory that may be eroding our customers profitability

Inventory Rationalization
  • Designed to optimize inventory investment in spare parts
  • Ensure proper on hand stock levels and re-order points & quantities
  • Reduce functional equivalents

Surplus Reduction
  • Dispose of excess or surplus inventory at customer site once inventory stocking requirements can be adequately determined (per inventory rationalization)
  •  Applied has developed a condition based (A/B/C/D) buy-back inventory reduction program that governs the price paid for any items being removed from inventory

Inventory Standardization
  • Reduce the number of manufacturers providing products within a given product group

Critical Spares Management
  • Critical spares management through Applied provides a listing of our customers critical spares and highlights the availability, location and lead-time for procuring those items
  • Products deemed as “critical” to the operation of our customers business can be stored the customer site, at the appropriate Applied servicing location, or at other locations as required
  • Parts identified as critical spares may become candidates for our committed inventory program
  • Completing this step will help establish stock locations for these items, whether it’s in-plant or through Applied

Committed Inventory
  • Critical spares that are to be stocked by Applied are assigned to our committed inventory program
  • Held by Applied for the exclusive sale to a particular customer
  • This program carries the benefit of guaranteed availability – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
  • Designed to reduce inventory requirements of key parts and components on our customer’s sites, effectively reducing inventory carrying costs
  • All committed inventory is approved by both parties, fully documented and reviewed on a regular basis
